Smoky River F.C.S.S. is a partnership between the provincial government and the five municipalities in our region (MD of Smoky River, Town of McLennan, Town of Falher, Village of Donnelly and Village of Girouxville).

Our mandate is to develop locally driven preventative social initiatives to enhance the well-being of individuals, families and communities.

Our vision is to build strong communities through positive, caring interaction and mutual respect.

                                                                           


We run many programs, project and activities that assist us in meeting our goals. Our program provides services for all ages.

We provide referrals to government and non-government agencies to match people with the services they need. We also have two lending resource librairies with materials on a variety of self-improvement and parenting skills.

In addition to working with all levels of government, we partner with a number of other groups, organizations and associations to bring programs and services to our region.

- Foster Homes in the Smoky River Area -

  - We are looking for caring, stables homes to become part of our foster care team. Do you have a positive outlook on life and are able to work with some challenging behaviours in children? Do you have a clean criminal record and no past involvement with Children's Services? We are looking for homes in our different and diverse communities to provide temporary care to children who need a home.
